Some sort of crime
The Audrey Hepburn and Peter O'Toole classic How To Steal a Million is such an enjoyable film. Not only are they both wonderful in it, they also share many great screen kisses. This is that sort of film where the two main characters have such amazing chemistry and where you sit and smile through out the whole thing, simply because it's such a delightful film. Having said that, I thought I'd share some of the aforementioned screen kisses. And isn't Peter O'Toole just so handsome?

Deep Blue Sea
I've been listening to Grizzly Bear for the longest time. Foreground is one my favorites, but their song Deep Blue Sea (for the compilation Dark Was The Night) has just been added to the list. It's beautiful, calm and serene, just as the sea is sometimes. Also, check out a cover version of the song, done by a fairly young-looking guy named Jack Campbell. It's good!

Answering a question with a question
I love the simple details of Audrey Hepburn's hairdo from Paris When It Sizzles. This still reminds of how immaculate Audrey is in all her films. Her eloquence and her elegance, her smile and her way of being. I just love how a film with her is never boring simply due to the magic she bring to it.

I know you're fading
My family has been visiting me this weekend. They arrived just in time for full spring weather, more like what we call summer weather in Norway. My brother and I have always in one way or another shared music, but the latter years our taste in music has become more and more similar. That's the nice thing about family - at least the kind of relationship I've come to have with my brother. You share so many aspects of your life without even thinking about it, without making an effort, without wanting or not wanting to share, you're just intertwined in each other's life and interests in the most natural of ways. This weekend he showed me the song Open by the electronic duo Rhye. I'm in love with it right now, so thanks bro!

Les amours imaginaires
Stills from Xavier Dolan's second film Les Amours Imaginaires. I haven't seen it for a long time, but I remember I thought the actual film was just ok. The whole set-up and the "costumes" are excellent though.

You are the blood flowing through my fingers
Two songs I've been listening to non-stop the last few days. Good ones for walking and getting through a busride. Good songs to have on repeat.
1. You Know What I Mean / Cults
2. Blood Pt. 2 / Buck 65 Remix featuring Sufjan Stevens

Saturday morning
Good stuff for this particular saturday morning (I love those mornings were you have all the time in the world, and you hear the birds starting to sing outside, and you just know there is at least half-good weather outside, and you have time to brew your tea and listen to all the songs you want, and everything feels just a little bit better than it usually does):
1. Some Things Last a Long time / Beach House
2. The Kids Were Wrong / Memoryhouse
3. Burning / The Whitest Boy Alive
4. Oblivion / Grimes

Red dress
Lately I've been dreaming of light, nice summer dresses. The ones you can just put on right after stumbling out of bed or if being late for somewhere. I guess I dream of all my clothes eventually having that quality. Just nice dresses, or rather a nice dress, to wear with simple leather shoes and a little purse with lipstick and some coins. It all feels very romantic and ehm.. french? Maybe more so after I watched the Dreamers, and discovered that the red dress Isabelle wears when going to the movies, is just what I've been thinking of. The length, the shape and the intense red color - it's all right there in that dress.

Fall in, fall out
Bon Iver and S. Carey jamming together at Air Studios. I love how I can load this jamming session and just have Bon Iver play his music for almost half an hour (of course with the help of the also-amazing Sean Carey).

Be a body
When the song Vanessa was released I loved it, but I mean it was only song. Most times if I like a song, I want to know that there's more out there from the same artist/place. Grimes released a new album not too long ago, and it's so good! I really like the feel of it, the beats especially. And the coolest thing is that she made the whole album using GarageBand.
